As you can see, South Carolina ranks very well in comparison to other states.  In fact, this is one of the pleasant surprises people find when the move to South Carolina.  Many people find their property taxes are much lower in South Carolina than they are where they are moving from. 

For instance, a typical 1,500 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bath home in Greenville, South Carolina will have an annual property tax of approximately $1,200.  Certainly, there are some variables, but on average, you will find our property taxes are quite reasonable.
